ONCCY Solar String-Level Rapid Shutdown Devices installed in Europe

Addtime:2025,04,18

Eight units of ONCCY’s Solar String-Level Rapid Shutdown Devices have been successfully deployed in a commercial and industrial photovoltaic (PV) project in Europe, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the safety, efficiency, and reliability of solar installations.

As solar energy projects grow in scale, safety becomes a top priority, especially regarding the potential risks of arc-induced fires, which can be hazardous in energy storage systems. Additionally, European solar installations must meet stringent safety regulations for rapid shutdown capabilities to ensure safe operation during emergencies.

The ONCCY Solar String-Level Rapid Shutdown Devices are designed to meet these challenges, offering robust protection for solar energy systems. Rated for 63A current and 1600V voltage, these devices provide critical protection against electrical arcs, which are a leading cause of fires in PV systems. The devices are specifically engineered for rapid shutdown of solar strings, ensuring that power is safely disconnected in case of faults, preventing fire hazards and ensuring compliance with European safety standards.

In this commercial and industrial project, the Solar String-Level Rapid Shutdown Devices were strategically installed to ensure that the entire PV system can quickly disconnect from the grid during emergencies. This enhances the safety of both the solar installation and surrounding infrastructure, particularly during maintenance, fire, or electrical fault scenarios.
